First Time User Registration for Interlibrary Loan
ILLiad Service
The Kresge Library provides Interlibrary Loan service to current employees, faculty, staff, and students of The Scripps Research Institute, Scripps Florida, Scripps Clinic, and Green Hospital.
In addition, document delivery service is available to staff who are not located at the Torrey Pines campus.
Article requests are usually received in three to five working days. Books not owned by UCSD take longer to arrive (via U.S. Mail).
If you need an item by a particular date, please contact a library staff member to make sure that
we can meet your deadline. RUSH service may be available for a fee. You may wish to read the ILLiad FAQ for additional information about ILLiad interlibrary loan service.

Personal information only has to be entered once.

Specifying an ILLiad Username and Password of your choosing allows secure access to information about your requests. You will also be able to review the list of items you have requested through ILLiad in the past.
Username
Choose anything you like, such as your name, initials, or a memorable code, from 3 to 20 alphanumeric characters.
Password

Important Copyright Information
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials.
Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the
photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research". If a user makes a request for, or later uses,
a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.
TSRI's Kresge Library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.
